Getting over many other talent young friends around the world, the Future For Nature Award has been given for three young conservationists from the United States, Switzerland and Vietnam. They all have outstanding contributions from nature and wildlife.

The representative of Vietnam is Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang. She is 27 years old and being a PhD student of the Kent University (the United Kingdom). Her study is biodiversity management, researching the impacts of Asia traditional medicine on wildlife in Africa.

She started her conservation career since 2003 as a volunteer of a number of non-governmental organizations on conservation. Since 2004, she has contributed to prevention of illegal trading of extinct risk wildlife in Vietnam, especially bear and elephant’s tusk.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang is the founder and CEO of WildAct. This organization has its functions to supervise the illegal trading market of wildlife as well as to provide education training programs on conservation for young Vietnamese and Cambodians

Receiving this award, she would like to use it for designing a training course on the wildlife illegal trading issue in Vietnam. This course has been being supported by the Vinh University, WWF and TRAFFIC Vietnam. The WildAct will also provide scholarships for students who are interested in conservation.
